“What Should I Email My List Without Constantly Trying to Sell Something?”
Part 3 of the NO Leads, NO List, and NO Sales blog posts.

You’ve started generating traffic.
People are joining your email list.
Then comes another surprisingly difficult question:
“Okay…what do I send them now?”
A lot of new affiliate marketers make one of two mistakes.
They either don’t email their subscribers often enough because they don’t know what to say…
Or every email becomes:
Buy this.
Check out this offer.
Here’s another product.
That can get old pretty quickly.
Think Help First, Promotion Second.
Before writing an email, ask yourself:
“What would help the person reading this today?”
Maybe you share a mistake you made.
Explain something you wish you’d understood when you started.
Answer a common question.
Recommend a useful tool.
Share a small success.
Talk about something that didn’t work—and what you learned from it.
You don’t have to pretend you’re the world’s greatest marketing expert.
Sometimes simply sharing what you’re learning along your own
journey makes your emails more relatable.

Your Emails Should Continue the Conversation
Think about why someone joined your list in the first place.
They were looking for something.
Maybe they wanted to learn affiliate marketing.
Maybe they’re trying to generate traffic.
Maybe they’re overwhelmed by all the conflicting information online.
Your emails should continue helping them with that original problem.
And yes, you can recommend affiliate products.
That’s part of affiliate marketing.
But there’s a big difference between saying:
“Here’s another product you should buy.”
and saying:
“Here’s a resource that may help you solve the problem we’ve been discussing.”
The second approach puts the subscriber first.
The Real Asset You’re Building

An email list isn’t valuable simply because you possess a database of email addresses.
Its value comes from the relationship you build with the people behind those addresses.
Generate traffic.
Give people a reason to subscribe.
Help them after they join.
Recommend useful solutions when appropriate.
Then repeat the process.
You don’t need to make email marketing complicated.
You simply need to keep building your list—
and give people a reason to keep opening your emails.
Your Next Step
If you’re just getting started, don’t worry about building a massive email list overnight.
Ask yourself one question:
“What can I do today to earn my next subscriber?”
Start there.
Because one subscriber becomes ten.
Ten can become 100.
And over time, you’re no longer just chasing your next affiliate commission.
You’re building an asset you can continue growing.
